This study examines the relationship between teacher feedback practices and student confidence in the classroom, with a specific focus on how constructive feedback influences learning behaviour. Feedback is an essential part of teaching because it helps students understand their strengths, identify areas for improvement, and develop confidence in their academic abilities. The study explores different forms of feedback, including verbal feedback, written comments, corrective guidance, praise, and suggestions for improvement. The findings indicate that students who receive clear, supportive, and constructive feedback show higher classroom confidence, greater willingness to participate, improved motivation, and better engagement in learning tasks. In contrast, unclear or overly critical feedback may reduce student confidence and discourage active participation. The results suggest that feedback is most effective when it is specific, timely, respectful, and focused on improvement rather than only pointing out mistakes. The study highlights the importance of teacher communication style in shaping student attitudes toward learning. It concludes that constructive feedback not only improves academic understanding but also strengthens students’ self-belief and positive learning behaviour.
