Ethical Policy
Scientific Research Reports (SRR) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality, original research across a wide range of scientific disciplines. SRR is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all aspects of its publishing process, following the best practices outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other international guidelines.
1. Research Involving Human Subjects
All research involving human participants, human material, or human data must have been performed in accordance with the principles stated in the Declaration of Helsinki [1].
1.1. Ethical Approval and Consent
• Mandatory Approval: Authors must comply with relevant ethical guidelines when conducting research involving human subjects. Ethical approval from the relevant institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee must be obtained before the research began.
• Informed Consent: Informed consent must be obtained from all human participants.
• Manuscript Statement: The manuscript must include a statement confirming that ethical approval was obtained and disclosed during submission.
2. Research Involving Animals
Authors must comply with relevant ethical guidelines when conducting research involving animals.
• Mandatory Approval: Ethical approval from the relevant institutional ethics committee must be obtained.
• Reporting: The manuscript must include a statement confirming that the study adhered to relevant ethical standards for animal research.
3. Data Accuracy and Integrity
Authors must provide accurate and truthful data, and research findings must be clearly presented. Fabrication or falsification of data is considered unethical and will result in immediate rejection. Authors are encouraged to make the data supporting their findings available to the public.
4. Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
Systematic reviews and meta-analyses must be registered in a publicly accessible database (e.g., PROSPERO) prior to commencing the review. Furthermore, the reporting of these studies must strictly follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines [2] to ensure transparency and completeness in the methodology and findings.
5. Authorship and Conflicts of Interest
SRR follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding authorship and conflicts of interest. All authors must have made significant contributions to the research and must disclose any financial, professional, or personal conflicts of interest.
